Worthless jew
sadism, cruelty, destruction
a hatred so blind
"Don't worry, my child.
To Auschuitz! A wonderful place!"
Lies.
And somehow, it worked.
One goes right, the other left
get number, the prissinors number
on our flesh
and somehow, it worked
Gas chambers, mass shootings, torture
thousands of people
what so few people live to tell
and somehow, it worked
Name and rank
We worked day after day;
at least I did something.
Survived week after week;
as his blood ran out.
and somehow, it worked
It was total darkeness
a horendous journey
They took my identity
They will not take my soul.
I blame man, not god.
Someone had to plan it;
and somehow, it worked.
Rational;
This found poem tells about the torture of jews during the Hollicost. How people were tricked into being taken to Auschwitz, not knowing what they were getting into. The torture, pain and suffering of the event. It shows, from the persecutive of someone who had experienced it, what they had to two, and some feelings towards the cruelty. It also convays through repetition the confusion of the person experiencing the Hollicost that it was actually working; the organizer was winning. People were dying, they took who they were but they were not going to take their soul or their faith.
